High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Kyrie Irving (vs IND – $8,700): Needs 40.6 fantasy points. Kyrie has been down in the last couple of games, but it’s mainly been due to a lack of minutes. This game should be competitive, which means his minutes will be up. And I expect him to deliver with his scoring and assists. The Pacers are on a back-to-back, but I’m not worried about a blowout because they are a good team and should hang around long enough for Kyrie to play big minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling.

D’Angelo Russell (vs ATL – $7,600): Needs 35.1 fantasy points. Russell was down to 11.25 fantasy points against the Celtics on Jan. 7. He was playing great prior to that game and it was a back-to-back, so I’m willing to excuse it. Now he has the Hawks, who are on a back-to-back. I have to trust that Russell will be back in form in this game given the matchup. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back with a big game.

Donovan Mitchell (vs ORL – $7,300): Needs 33.7 fantasy points. Mitchell had 32.75 fantasy points against the Bucks on Jan. 7. With Rubio out of the lineup, Mitchell will be tasked with running more of the offense. And he enters into a good matchup because it’s the Magic, who are terrible. Expect a big scoring game from Mitchell and for him to pick up his assist numbers. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a great matchup.
