High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Thaddeus Young (at BOS – $5,700): Needs 26 fantasy points. Young had 42.25 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Tuesday. It’s the Cavaliers, but Young has been fairly reliable all season. And with Turner out, the minutes and opportunities will continue to be there. It’s a tough matchup with the back-to-back, but I love him if Turner remains sidelined. Diagnosis: Take with confidence if Turner doesn’t play.

Joe Ingles (vs ORL – $5,500): Needs 25 fantasy points. Ingles has still been disappointing due to his shooting woes, but I have to trust him in this game. First off, it’s the Magic. He should get points in this game. And with Rubio out, he knows the offense well and can run it. He’s at a decent salary and I trust him to step up. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but the matchup and circumstances are good.

Harrison Barnes (vs PHO – $5,300): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. Everything I said in the previous slide about Warren pretty much applies to Barnes. His value his still too tied to his scoring, but he doesn’t lack for shots. It’s the Suns, on a back-to-back, which should help. And if Luka doesn’t play, that will also help his value a lot. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a high ceiling, given the matchup and possible circumstances.
