. F. Duke. Zion Williamson. 1. player. 156

Williamson already practically bought out an ownership stake in Bleacher Report’s House of Highlights when he was a high school student but his nightly explosions these days at Duke truly take over social media. But this was predictable — ESPN airs most ACC games and Duke’s team is the most hyped college basketball squad in years.  What wasn’t so easy to predict is how quickly Williamson has cemented himself at the top of his class.

Coming off a 30-point, 10-rebound, 5-assist, 4-steal night against Wake Forest, Williamson’s dominance cannot be questioned. No one can touch his combination of defensive impact, passing vision, finishing ability and athleticism. He’s the clearest No. 1 we’ve had in a long time.

As such, he would fit anywhere he landed. But considering Cleveland’s standout crappiness in this pool of bad teams, let’s think about what he would bring to the Cavaliers. Despite what you may think about whether the franchise deserves another generational talent after blowing it with both LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, the 18-year-old would be pretty fun on his “own” team without many other guys vying for time. And as an unabashed Larry Nance Jr. lover, a frontcourt featuring he and Williamson would be a defensive hell-raiser.

It’s perhaps not the most exciting outcome from a market standpoint but it would probably keep Williamson’s reign over social media alive even longer.
