DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 10, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,250
DeMar DeRozan (vs OKC – $8,300): Needs 37.8 fantasy points. DeRozan wasn’t good against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, but I have to trust him to bounce back. The Thunder defense has fallen off recently and we know DeRozan can score in bunches. The scoring should return in this game and he’ll do more in other areas to be back in form. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back given the state of the Thunder defense right now.
Jamal Murray (vs LAC – $7,300): Needs 33.9 fantasy points. Murray had 34 fantasy points against the Heat on Jan. 8. He’s always inconsistent, but the ceiling is high. With the Nuggets getting healthy, his role has lessened a bit and yet his salary has jumped due to the lack of options on a slow Thursday night. He’s never been great against the Clippers, which also has me concerned about his value on Thursday. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but a lot of red flags that tell me to stay away.
Lou Williams (at DEN – $6,900): Needs 32 fantasy points. Williams was up to 50.25 fantasy points against the Hornets on Jan. 8. You typically know what you’re getting from Williams. Even in limited minutes, he can score in bunches and chips in with plenty of assists. They’ll need his scoring and playmaking in this one. He hasn’t played well against the Nuggets this season, but both games were due to a lack of minutes. He’ll get the minutes in this one. Diagnosis: More reliable than Murray with a ceiling that is just as high.
