DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 10, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Paul George (at SA – $9,800): Needs 44.8 fantasy points. George had 41.2 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Jan. 8. It’s his second straight game where his numbers have been down and maybe it’s time to worry a tad. His lack of defensive numbers are what’s been holding him back as the points and rebounds are there. Expect him to be better in this game. The lower salary certainly helps. He’s been too good this season to think this is going to turn into a prolonged slump. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Danilo Gallinari (at DEN – $7,100): Needs 32.4 fantasy points. Gallinari had 37.75 fantasy points against the Hornets on Jan. 8. You typically know what you’re getting from Gallinari. He’s been a reliable player for most of the season and he’s shown a high ceiling with his scoring and rebounding. He’s rarely going to hurt your team as well, which is always nice. Diagnosis: Almost always reliable and a good ceiling.
Buddy Hield (vs DET – $6,700): Needs 30.5 fantasy points. Hield has been down in his last two games as his scoring numbers have dropped off. It’s a bit concerning, but his value has largely been tied to his scoring all season, so it’s not surprising that when shots aren’t falling, he’ll not doing much in DFS. The matchup is good and the shots are always there, you just have to trust him to make them. Diagnosis: High ceiling and never lacks for opportunities.
