Players costing over $6,667

Paul George (at SA – $9,700): Needs 41 fantasy points. George has been under 40 fantasy points in his last two games. It’s a bit concerning, but he’s been good for the majority of this season and I trust that it was just a rough couple of games more than a prolonged slump. The Spurs are on a back-to-back, which should help his cause. Expect him to bounce back and return to form despite the matchup not being great due to the Spurs defense. Diagnosis: Typically reliable and a high ceiling.

Danilo Gallinari (at DEN – $7,400): Needs 31.3 fantasy points. Gallinari was at 37 fantasy points against the Hornets on Jan. 8. He’s been reliable all season and that should not change in this one. He’s averaging 29 fantasy points in 29 minutes in two games against the Nuggets this season. If nothing else, he’ll get you value. But his ceiling is higher with his scoring and rebounding. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Justise Winslow (vs BOS – $6,600): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Winslow had 30.8 fantasy points in 23 minutes against the Nuggets on Jan. 8. It’s slightly concerning that his minutes were down, but I trust that it was a one-game thing and not anything more. The Heat will need him in this game given the matchup. He’s been good as the point forward and I suspect it will continue. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
