High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

Blake Griffin (at SAC – $10,000): Needs 42.9 fantasy points. It wasn’t a great night for Blake on Wednesday, but I have to trust that he’ll bounce back against this matchup. The Kings pace should favor Griffin’s style. I’m not big on anyone on the Pistons, but the Kings make it easy for good offensive players and Griffin does do a bit of everything. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Montrezl Harrell (at DEN – $7,600): Needs 32.6 fantasy points. Harrell is clearly over his rough stretch and has looked fantastic during recent contests. He had 35 fantasy points in 19 minutes against the Nuggets on Dec. 22. The minutes should be higher in this one as they’ll need him against the Nuggets frontcourt. And he’ll deliver with his scoring and rebounding. Diagnosis: Love this matchup and he has a high ceiling.

Paul Millsap (vs LAC – $6,800): Needs 29.2 fantasy points. Millsap had 33.8 fantasy points against the Heat on Jan. 8. He’s been up-and-down since returning from injury, which has me a tad concerned. But I do like this matchup for him. He had 34.2 fantasy points against the Clippers on Oct. 17. You can always go with Tobias Harris, who is probably more reliable, but Millsap could offer more value due to the salary difference. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a good ceiling.
