High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

James Harden (vs CLE – $12,500): Needs 57.9 fantasy points. As always, it’s James Harden. The salary continues to climb and the Cavaliers are a bad team so this might turn into a blowout. But I will never tell you “don’t take James Harden.” If you’re looking for more value in terms of money, the two listed guys below him might be better options. But there’s also a chance Harden goes for 70 fantasy points and still provides a lot of value despite the high salary. Plus, you’re getting a nearly guaranteed 55 fantasy points from him, which isn’t anything to look down upon. Diagnosis: You can always take Harden with confidence.

Luka Doncic (at MIN – $8,400): Needs 38.3 fantasy points. Doncic has been playing well in recent contests and I expect him to keep it up in this one. The Timberwolves defense still has some issues and Doncic looks pretty unstoppable when he wants to be anyway. He had 43 fantasy points against them on Oct. 20. Diagnosis: Very reliable in this matchup and a good ceiling.

CJ McCollum (vs CHA – $6,300): Needs 29.2 fantasy points. McCollum can be very inconsistent, but I love this matchup. The Hornets defense is pretty bad and they are on the road in the middle of this long west coast road trip. I trust McCollum to get his scoring numbers in this one while chipping in with assists. He’s at a good salary to overdeliver given the matchup and his talent. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but I love the matchup and his ceiling is good.
