High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Kawhi Leonard (vs BKN – $9,700): Needs 44.3 fantasy points. Kawhi has been over 55 fantasy points in his last two games. This is another solid matchup for him as he should have no issue getting numbers in all categories in this one. He’s been getting it done with a lot of defense lately, which has certainly helped his value. Maybe those numbers aren’t quite there, but the offense will be. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a very high ceiling.

Kyle Kuzma (at UTA – $7,200): Needs 32.9 fantasy points. Kuzma had 45 fantasy points against the Pistons on Jan. 9. And it was all due to his scoring. The good news is that he’s shooting well. And I expect his other numbers to tick up because he seems like a self-aware guy who knows he should move the ball a bit more. He’s proven that he can step up without LeBron and I don’t have many doubts with Kuzma. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Khris Middleton (at WAS – $6,900): Needs 31.5 fantasy points. This is largely based on the health of Giannis. He’s listed as probable, which means he’ll probably play, but maybe the Bucks hold him out because it’s Washington. And if there is no Giannis, Middleton will be tasked with stepping up. And he will step up because it’s Washington. Even if Giannis plays, Middleton is reliable. Diagnosis: Reliable with a higher ceiling if Giannis doesn’t play. Of course, you can always take Giannis if he does play.
