High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Otto Porter Jr (vs MIL – $5,800): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. Porter Jr bounced back with 36 fantasy points against the Sixers on Jan. 9. He continues to play well coming off the bench and he’s typically done well against the Bucks. He averaged 32.8 fantasy points in three games against them last year. I continue to love him in this bench role and will trust that he’ll deliver once again. Diagnosis: Maybe a tad inconsistent, but a high ceiling.

Thaddeus Young (at NY – $5,600): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. Young was down to 20.5 fantasy points against the Celtics on Jan. 9. It was a back-to-back and the Pacers ended up getting blown out. Chalk it up to bad circumstances and move on. Mainly because he gets the Knicks. He’ll bounce back with a solid performance because he’s been good all season. And it’s the Knicks. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Marvin Williams (at POR – $5,200): Needs 23.8 fantasy points. I’m not a huge fan of the Hornets, especially on the road, but Williams has been delivering. He’s shooting the ball well and chipping in with rebounding. The Blazers are a decent matchup and I’m going to trust that Williams will continue to get his scoring numbers while collecting boards. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
