Players costing $6,250 or under

Wendell Carter Jr (at GS – $5,400): Needs 25.4 fantasy points. WCJ had 31.5 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 9. He’s been all over the place this season and I really don’t know what to make of the Bulls. The matchup isn’t great, but he did have 32.75 fantasy points against the Warriors on Oct. 29. So maybe there is some confidence there. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a proven matchup. But a rookie and inconsistent.

DeMarre Carroll (at TOR – $5,300): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. Carroll was down to 21.25 fantasy points against the Hawks on Jan. 9. His minutes were down, but I wouldn’t expect that to happen in this game. He should be back up to his usual minutes and I trust him to come away with a strong outing. The points are typically there and he’ll do more with his rebounding. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Dario Saric (vs DAL – $4,500): Needs 20.8 fantasy points. Saric was up to 28.75 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 8. Saunders seems to like him more than Thibs did and with Covington out of the lineup, he should continue to get more minutes and opportunities. He’s at a good salary and if he continues to get 25 minutes a game, he’ll get you value at the very least. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
