DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Jan. 12, 2019
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,250
Anthony Davis (at MIN – $11,700): Needs 55 fantasy points. Much like Russell Westbrook, you know what you’re getting with Davis. He had 78.25 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Jan. 9. Even though the Timberwolves are on a back-to-back, they are at home and the Pelicans are not good on the road. So I’m going to trust that Minnesota keeps it competitive and Davis plays a big role. Diagnosis: You can always build around Davis with confidence.
LaMarcus Aldridge (at OKC – $8,100): Needs 38.1 fantasy points. Aldridge had 78.75 fantasy points in the double OT game against OKC. He alway kills OKC and while he may not hit over 75 fantasy points again, if Steven Adams is out of the lineup, I’m not going to doubt him. The opportunities will certainly be there. He hasn’t been consistent this season, but this is just a matchup he dominates. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a very high ceiling. If Adams is out, Aldridge should be taken.
Julius Randle (at MIN – $7,300): Needs 34.3 fantasy points. Randle had 36 fantasy points in 27 minutes against the Cavaliers on Jan. 9. He’s been good in the starting lineup and typically does a bit of everything. He had 53.75 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Dec. 31. And the Timberwolves are on a back-to-back, which should help him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
