DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 13, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Kevin Durant (at DAL – $9,600): Needs 43.9 fantasy points. Minutes have held Durant back in his last two games, but you never have to worry about him getting numbers. Even if he doesn’t quite reach value, he’s rarely going to turn in a dud performance. He had 58.5 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Dec. 22 and typically plays well for them. It’s been the Splash Brothers doing work lately for the Warriors, but you can always count on Durant. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Luka Doncic (vs GS – $8,500): Needs 39.1 fantasy points. Luka had 63 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Jan. 11. I’m not doubting this kid, even as a rookie. The matchup is tough and the Warriors like to show out and bully teams/players with a lot of hype around them. But this is a weird energy Warriors team and again, I’m not doubting Luka. Even though he hasn’t played well against the Warriors this season. Trust Luka Legend. Diagnosis: High ceiling. There are the obvious red flags though that I must mention.
Kyle Kuzma (vs CLE – $6,900): Needs 31.5 fantasy points. Kuzma was down to 24 fantasy points against the Jazz on Jan. 11. The scoring numbers weren’t there, but at least he came in with rebounds. And the Cavaliers are a much easier matchup than the Jazz. Expect Kuzma to have a bounce back performance given the matchup on Sunday. Diagnosis: Reliable due to the matchup and a good ceiling.
