3. Find Jason Peters’ Successor

At 36 years old, Eagles offensive tackle Jason Peters is nearing the end of what has been a Hall of Fame career. He’s been a true staple for the Eagles offense, but once he’s gone, they’re going to need to find a suitable replacement as soon as possible.

Halapoulivaati Vaitai has tried to fill in for Peters on several occasions, but it has been clear to anyone who understands offensive line play that he is not going to be the long-term answer at left tackle.

The good news for the Eagles is that they don’t have a lot of glaring needs, so they could seriously consider using one of their early draft picks to find a new offensive tackle. Free agency is also an option, but the Eagles don’t have the cap space to afford someone who would be anything more than a stop-gap player.

Even if Peters doesn’t retire after this season, it’s still going to be a good call to find his eventual replacement.
