Players costing over $6,667

James Harden (at ORL – $12,800): Needs 54.7 fantasy points. It’s James Harden. It doesn’t matter if it’s a close game, a blowout, or anything in-between. Harden is getting it done. He needs a big game with this salary and he continues to deliver. I have no doubt about Harden at the moment and you shouldn’t either. Diagnosis: You can always build around Harden with all the confidence in the world.

Luka Doncic (vs GS – $8,400): Needs 35.9 fantasy points. Luka was up to 61.6 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Jan. 11. He hasn’t played well in either game against the Warriors this season, but the Mavericks are at home, where he typically plays very well, and I’m just not doubting Luka at this point. This kid is too good. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling.

Klay Thompson (at DAL – $8,100): Needs 34.6 fantasy points. Klay and McCollum are in similar boats. They are both playing very well right now and their value is largely tied to their scoring. I like Klay simply because he’s one of the best shooters in NBA history and has an overall more consistent game than McCollum. But you can take CJ with similar confidence. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
