High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jordan Clarkson (at LAL – $6,100): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. Clarkson was down to 20.1 fantasy points against the Rockets on Jan. 11. I’m not too concerned because his minutes and shots are always there. And it’s a partial revenge game as it’s his first time back in LA without LeBron by his side to take the spotlight. This just feels like a huge Clarkson game. Diagnosis: Inconsistent because he’s Jordan Clarkson. But I love this matchup for him.

Terrence Ross (vs HOU – $5,100): Needs 21.8 fantasy points. It’s a back-to-back for Ross and his value is largely tied to his scoring, but he’s been scoring the ball very well right now and he should chip in with rebounds in this game given the matchup. The Rockets defense isn’t great and Ross rarely lacks for shooting opportunities. Diagnosis: Hot and a good ceiling.

Alec Burks (at LAL – $4,900): Needs 20.9 fantasy points. Burks may not have the ceiling Clarkson does (although he has shown a high ceiling this season), but he’s more reliable and won’t hurt you as much due to the salary. He can do a bit of everything and while I like Clarkson due to the revenge factor, I admit that Burks is the more reliable option. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
