High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Kevin Durant (at DAL – $10,000): Needs 42.3 fantasy points. Durant is nothing if not reliable. Even in blowouts, he’s doing a bit of everything. He had 53.4 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Dec. 22. You typically know what you’re getting from Durant, but it’s been the Splash Brothers who have been doing most of the heavy DFS living lately. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Brandon Ingram (vs CLE – $6,900): Needs 29.2 fantasy points. Ingram is one of the most frustrating DFS players because he’ll have a big game and then be invisible in the next game. He can do a bit of everything but sometimes he does a lot of nothing. The matchup is a great one and on paper, this should be a strong game from Ingram. But the games aren’t played on paper. They are played on the court. And Ingram is just better on paper. Diagnosis: Great matchup and a high ceiling but also Brandon Ingram.

Will Barton (vs POR – $6,700): Needs 28.2 fantasy points. Barton returned to the lineup on Saturday and had 15.5 fantasy points in 16 minutes. There’s a chance he doesn’t play in this game due to the back-to-back and even if he does play, there’s no guarantee he’ll get enough minutes to produce. Just too many red flags to take him at this salary. Diagnosis: Take at your own risk. A lot of people will probably stay away, so if he hits big he’ll be a steal. I just don’t see him hitting big.
