DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 14, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
DeMar DeRozan (vs CHA – $8,500): Needs 38.9 fantasy points. DeRozan had 33.5 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 12. He’s been up-and-down and that was considered a down game, so if the trend continues, he should be back up in this one. The matchup is certainly there for him as the Hornets are not a good defensive team. Trust DeRozan to deliver in this matchup. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable and a high ceiling.
Danilo Gallinari (vs NO – $7,200): Needs 32.9 fantasy points. You typically know what you’re getting from Gallinari. He’s a reliable option and in the two games against the Pelicans this season, he was at 37 fantasy points. There’s no mystery surrounding Gallinari’s game and the matchup is a good one. You can also look at Tobias Harris, who has been good against the Pelicans this season, but he’s a bit pricier. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Jayson Tatum (at BKN – $6,300): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. Tatum hasn’t been great during this recent stretch, but he also hasn’t been terrible. And this is a good matchup for him. And if any of the young players is going to take Kyrie’s challenge and step up, Tatum would be the answer. AND if Kyrie is out, Tatum becomes the top option. I have a good feeling about Tatum in this game. Diagnosis: High ceiling but I acknowledge that the energy around the Celtics is bad.
