Players costing $6,250 or under

Marcus Morris (at BKN – $5,800): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. Morris has been over 30 fantasy points in his last three games. The energy is weird around the Celtics right now but I continue to like Morris’ game as he’s typically good for scoring and rebounding. And the matchup is a good one given the Nets struggles against opposing frontcourt players. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

Derrick Favors (vs DET – $5,300): Needs 24.9 fantasy points. Favors was down to 23.5 fantasy points against the Bulls on Jan. 12. I’m not too concerned as this a good matchup for him where he’ll continue to get good minutes. He had 30.25 fantasy points against the Pistons on Jan. 5. The points and rebounds should be there for him in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Marvin Bagley III (vs POR – $4,800): Needs 22.6 fantasy points. MB3 had 26.75 fantasy points against the Hornets. As I said prior to the Hornets game, he’s ready to have a big game and the minutes keep climbing. The Blazers are on a back-to-back and Bagley can hurt them with his energy coming off the bench. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling only due to minutes concerns.
