Players costing over $6,667

Jusuf Nurkic (at SAC – $8,800): Needs 39.4 fantasy points. The last time these two teams played Nurkic had 88.1 fantasy points. He probably doesn’t reach that level in this game, but it shows what he’s capable of. Nurkic plays a fairly reliable game with his scoring and rebounding and the matchup is a good one. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a very high ceiling.

Julius Randle (at LAC – $8,100): Needs 36.3 fantasy points. Randle had 37.7 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Jan. 12. He’s been down a bit recently which is a bit concerning, but I like this matchup for him. He had 52.6 fantasy points against the Clippers on Dec. 3 which given me a lot of confidence in him. Diagnosis: Reliable due to the matchup and a high ceiling.

Marc Gasol (at HOU – $7,800): Needs 35 fantasy points. Gasol is averaging 40.6 fantasy points in two games against the Rockets this season. Capela is also an option here and he does have a higher ceiling but the Rockets are on a back-to-back and Capela hasn’t been great against the Grizzlies. They will probably end up giving you similar production, but Gasol is at the better salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
