High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Al Horford (at BKN – $6,700): Needs 30 fantasy points. Yes, he’s over the line, but it’s weak at center due to injuries and I had two low salary players I the high salary bracket at small forward. It’s my column and I’ll cheat if I want to. Horford was up to 42.2 fantasy points against the Magic. His game and minutes have been all over the place this season but the Celtics need something and Horford is typically the glue that holds them together. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a good matchup and ceiling.

Jarrett Allen (vs BOS – $6,000): Needs 26.9 fantasy points. Allen has been fairly reliable in recent games. Of course, the game where he was down was against Boston when he had 23.6 fantasy points against them on Jan. 7. The minutes are typically there and I don’t know what to make of the Celtics right now. They will either roll on the Nets or get rolled on. Diagnosis: Good ceiling but a bit inconsistent.

Bismack Biyombo (at SA – $4,200): Needs 18.8 fantasy points. Biyombo continues to get the minutes due to the injuries. He had 25.5 fantasy points against the Kings on Jan. 12. He’s shown a high ceiling but the matchup isn’t great. Still, he’s at a good salary given the minutes and opportunities he will have as the starter. Diagnosis: Decent ceiling and fairly reliable due to the salary.
