Players costing over $6,667

Damian Lillard (at SAC – $9,400): Needs 39.9 fantasy points. Lillard had 39.3 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Sunday. He’s been more cold than hot recently, but I like this matchup for him even on the back-to-back. The pace of the Kings should benefit the Blazers. And we know what Lillard is capable of, even if he’s been struggling a bit more than you’d like to see in recent games. Diagnosis: A tad inconsistent but a high ceiling.

De’Aaron Fox (vs POR – $8,600): Needs 36.5 fantasy points. Fox was up to 45.4 fantasy points against the Hornets on Jan. 12. The Blazers are on a back-to-back, which should help Fox on Monday. He wasn’t good against the Blazers on Jan. 1, but it’s a different circumstances for him in this one. I’ll trust that he’ll be in form. However, if Kyrie plays, you can find the $300 elsewhere and take him on Monday. I think he’s in for a big game. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Mike Conley (at HOU – $8,300): Needs 35.2 fantasy points. The Rockets are on a back-to-back and I still don’t trust their defense. Conley has been solid in both games against them this season. Nothing spectacular, but that’s pretty much Conley’s game. He’s going to get you around value, maybe a little more, and rarely turn in a dud game. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else.
