High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Joel Embiid (vs MIN – $10,500): Needs 50 fantasy points. I’m of two minds with Embiid. Either Butler literally does everything, which doesn’t allow for Embiid to do anything. Or Butler plays nice and shows he likes his new teammates a bit more. If you want someone who is a tad more reliable, go with Jokic, who has a great matchup. But Embiid ceiling is higher just because Embiid is typically getting more scoring and rebounding opportunities. Diagnosis: Make sure you are paying attention, alright?

Karl-Anthony Towns (at PHI – $10,200): Needs 48.5 fantasy points. Towns has been great more often than not since the Butler trade. Everything said about Wiggins pretty much applies to Towns. Either he steps up and shows Butler that he was the issue in Minnesota. Or he is everything Butler accused him of being. I’m going to trust Towns because he’s earned it with his recent play. Diagnosis: High ceiling but could be a huge bust if Embiid punks him and Butler gets in his head.

Steven Adams (at ATL – $7,000): Needs 33.3 fantasy points. You typically know what you’re getting from Adams. And if Collins doesn’t play, that’s even better for Adams’ value because it remains one less good rebounder that he has to battle in the paint. But even if Collins plays, Adams has shown to be a reliable option throughout this season. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
