High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Kevin Durant (at DEN – $9,700): Needs 44.4 fantasy points. Durant is always good for numbers and when Klay is struggling, he’s the guy to step up. The scoring numbers are always there and we know he’s capable of much more. Klay has been running hot and maybe you want to save a little money by going with him, but Durant is far more reliable. This feels like a game where he’ll have to step up. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Paul George (at ATL – $9,200): Needs 42.1 fantasy points. George has cooled off a bit in the last week or so, but you typically know what you’re going to get from him. And the matchup is certainly a good one on Tuesday. There is a concern about a blowout in this one, but even in a blowout, George should get his usual numbers. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling if the Hawks keep it competitive.

Andrew Wiggins (at PHI – $6,500): Needs 29.7 fantasy points. I don’t know what to make of Wiggins in this matchup. He could go right at Butler and deliver a big game or he could be everything Butler said he is. The opportunities will continue to be there for him. I’m going to trust that he’ll do enough with his scoring to at least get you value in this game. Diagnosis: A risk, but a big reward if he steps up like we’ve seen him down once every 20 games.
