Players costing $6,250 or under

Lauri Markkanen (at LAL – $6,100): Needs 28.2 fantasy points. Markkanen hasn’t been great during this recent stretch, but I can’t help but look at this matchup and feel good about him. The Lakers are not good without LeBron and I trust that Markkanen will find a way to right the ship in this game, get his scoring numbers and step up with rebounding. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a good ceiling and I like this matchup.

Bam Adebayo (at MIL – $5,200): Needs 24.4 fantasy points. Adebayo has been over 30 fantasy points in four of his last five games. The minutes have been there but there is always concern that they fall off a cliff because that’s just what happens in Miami. I will trust that the minutes will continue to be there and that Adebayo will continue to play well. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Jerami Grant (at ATL – $5,100): Needs 23.6 fantasy points. Grant had 26.5 fantasy points in the rematch against the Spurs. If John Collins is out, I love Grant in this game. The scoring should be there and he’ll chip in with more rebounds if he doesn’t have to deal with Collins. Plus, he’s always good for a couple of defensive plays. Diagnosis: Take with confidence if Collison is out of the lineup. Still reliable if Collins plays.
