High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Brook Lopez (vs MIA – $5,500): Needs 24.6 fantasy points. Lopez was down to 11.9 fantasy points against the Hawks on Jan. 13. The minutes and opportunities are always there for him. Chalk it up to a rough night where he didn’t get his usual blocks and expect him to be better in this one. He had 29.3 fantasy points against the Heat on Dec. 22. Diagnosis: A tad inconsistent, but a decent ceiling.

Kevon Looney (at DEN – $4,800): Needs 21.4 fantasy points. Looney was down to 14.5 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Jan. 13. With Jordan out of the lineup the Warriors were able to go a bit smaller. They won’t be able to do that on Tuesday with the size of the Nuggets. Looney has proven himself capable in this spot. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else.

Alex Len (vs OKC – $4,300): Needs 19.2 fantasy points. Len has been down in his last few games but his salary has dropped to a reasonable level. And if Collins is out, Len should see more minutes. He’s a guy who has played fairly well against OKC in recent games, averaging 1.33 FPPM in his last four against them. As a punt option, you can take him with confidence if Collins doesn’t play. Diagnosis: An option.
