FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 15, 2019
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
De’Anthony Melton (at IND – $5,500): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. Devin Booker is expected back in this game, which has me very concerned for Melton. He’s played great with Booker out, but his minutes are not guaranteed with Booker back in the lineup. I would hope that he’s played well enough to stay in the rotation but again, that’s not a guarantee. Diagnosis: Good ceiling but minutes may not be there with Booker back.
Tyus Jones (at PHI – $5,100): Needs 21.7 fantasy points. I’m not saying Jones should be playing over Teague right now. But maybe Jones should be playing over Teague right now. Much like Melton, his minutes are not guaranteed. But he’s been reliable when he has gotten the minutes and flashed a high ceiling. The matchup is good with the Sixers lack of depth. Diagnosis: Read everything about Melton.
T.J. McConnell (vs MIN – $4,500): Needs 19.1 fantasy points. McConnell was down to 13.4 fantasy points against the Knicks on Jan. 13. He’s been up-and-down in his last three but he had be reliable prior to this stretch. The value point guards aren’t great and here’s my thinking. Jimmy Butler beat the Wolves with 3rd string players. McConnell is a 2nd string player. Butler will beat the Wolves with McConnell. Or not. Diagnosis: I’ll trust him in this matchup.
