High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Lauri Markkanen (at LAL – $6,400): Needs 27.8 fantasy points. Markkanen has been more miss than hit in recent contests, but his salary has dropped a bit and I love this matchup for him. The Lakers just aren’t very good and I have to trust that Markkanen will turn it around at some point. This would seemingly be the game for him to turn things around. Trust the matchup. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a good ceiling and a great matchup.

Jerami Grant (at ATL – $5,400): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. Grant had 27.3 fantasy points against the Spurs on Jan. 12. He’s been fairly solid for the Thunder this season and shown a high ceiling. And I really love this matchup for him if John Collins doesn’t end up playing. His scoring is typically there and he always chips in with a handful of defensive plays. No Collins should mean more rebounds. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Bam Adebayo (at MIL – $5,400): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. Adebayo picked up the start against the Grizzlies and finished with 32 fantasy points. He’s been over 30 fantasy points in four of his last five games. The minutes appear to be there right now, which certainly helps. They could disappear at any moment, which is always the risk. But I’ll trust that they’ll continue to be there based on recent data. Diagnosis: As long as the minutes are there, the production will be there.
