Josh Allen. 4. player. 28. . Edge. Kentucky

The Oakland Raiders will be at the forefront of the 2019 NFL Draft, as they currently hold three first round picks this April. Their first pick will come at No. 4, a selection they earned by winning only four games in 2018, and have a big offseason ahead of them to really improve this roster.

In addition to the three first round picks, the Raiders also have nearly $80 million in cap space, which is good news, considering they have 33 pending free agents. They have to hit big on these three first rounders, and they did everything they can to make that happen, signing draft analyst Mike Mayock as their new general manager.

Of course, all decisions go through Jon Gruden, the de-facto Godfather of the Raiders organization. If the Raiders are wise, they will use their first round pick on an edge rusher, as they were historically bad at getting after the quarterback in 2018, and not fixing the issue will lead to another last place finish in the AFC West.

At No. 4, the Raiders have an opportunity to get some elite talent at the position, including guys like Kentucky’s Josh Allen, and Clemson’s Clelin Ferrell. Allen would be a solid pick at No. 4, as he not only is an elite edge rusher, but was a standout outside linebacker during his time at Kentucky, which is two area this team needs help in moving forward.
