The New York Giants will hold the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and they have a couple of holes they need to fill early in round one. One of the bigger holes on their roster is at quarterback, where the team may roll with Eli Manning for one more season, but there is no succession plan behind him.

Last year, the NFL Draft was loaded with quarterback talent, but the Giants decided to instead utilize the No. 2 overall pick on Penn State running back Saquon Barkley. While Barkley is likely the Offensive Rookie of the Year for the 2018 season,  it did not equate to many wins, and there is a real question as to where this team goes with the quarterback position in 2019 and beyond.

While Manning could be back in 2019, the Giants have to find an answer when his playing days are done, and Dwayne Haskins may be the best man for the job. Manning had to sit behind Kurt Warner during his rookie season, and that may be the plan of action for the G-Men next season, and it would seriously benefit Haskins from learning behind Manning.

Haskins threw for 50 touchdowns during his only season as the starter for Ohio State, leading the Buckeyes to a Rose Bowl victory over Washington. He has all the talent you look for in a starting quarterback at the NFL level, and if his one year in Columbus is any indication, he could be a good one down the road in New York.
