2019 NFL mock draft: Kyler Murray lands with Redskins
By Brad Weiss
The Buffalo Bills have a lot of holes to fill on their roster this offseason, as they once again finished outside of the playoffs in 2018. Last season, the Bills made it to the playoffs for the first time since 1999, but after a one-and-done showing in the Wild Card Round, the 2018 season brought more losing than winning.
It is not all dark days ahead for Buffalo, as they appear to have their franchise quarterback in place for the next ten years. Towards the end of the 2018 season, first round pick Josh Allen started to look like a legitimate starting quarterback in the NFL, and will be the guy they build this team around moving forward.
The 2018 season was the last for Kyle Williams, who has meant so much to this organization over the last 13 seasons. A five-time Pro Bowler for the Bills, Williams will have to be replaced along the defensive line in Buffalo, and a guy like Ed Oliver at No. 9 makes a lot of sense for them in 2019.
Oliver was widely regarded as one of the best prospects in this draft class heading into the 2018 college football season, but had a very strange last season in Houston. Still, he is a dominant defensive tackle, can stop the run, and has the kind of athletic ability that you just do not see from a man his size.
