High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Harrison Barnes (vs SA – $5,700): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. Barnes has been reliable in his last three games. The shots are obviously there for him but his value is still largely tied to his scoring. But this is a matchup he typically plays well against. He’s been over 28 fantasy points in four of his last five games against the Spurs. And if his shot is on, the ceiling is much higher. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

PJ Tucker (vs BKN – $4,700): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. No Capela means more rebounds for Tucker. At least, in theory. It didn’t quite work out that way against the Grizzlies, but it will manifest itself in this one. The shots and defense are always there for him. He’s now Harden’s favorite option as he can’t exactly create his own offense like Gerald Green or Austin Rivers. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Joe Harris (at HOU – $4,600): Needs 21.1 fantasy points. Harris has been up-and-down in his last five games. He was up to 28.5 fantasy points against the Celtics on Jan. 14, but I trust him to break the trend in this one. He had 28.5 fantasy points against the Rockets on Nov. 2 and I like his game overall. Plus, he’s now tradeable. And showcase games loom. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
