High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Rudy Gobert (at LAC – $9,900): Needs 44 fantasy points. Gobert has been over 50 fantasy points in his last two games. The Jazz are falling like flies in terms of injuries but Gobert and Mitchell have done a great job of keeping them alive. Gobert is posting monster rebounding games and I trust that to continue in this one. He’ll always chip in with easy points and a handful of defensive plays. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Nikola Vucevic (at DET – $9,200): Needs 40.9 fantasy points. Vucevic had 42.8 fantasy points against the Rockets on Jan. 13. He’s been down during this recent stretch but he does more good than bad and doesn’t outright hurt your team. And the Pistons are just dreadful. Vucevic had 47.2 fantasy points against them on Dec. 30. He should have another strong outing in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Julius Randle (at GS – $7,800): Needs 34.7 fantasy points. If you’re not going to spend on Davis, you can always go with Randle. I know the Warriors looked unstoppable on Tuesday and the Warriors can always look unstoppable, but it’s still a back-to-back and the Pelicans are playing well. And the Warriors still have frontcourt issues where the Pelicans can hurt them. Randle has been reliable as a starter for the majority of the season as well. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
