High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Pascal Siakam (at BOS – $6,500): Needs 28.4 fantasy points. Siakam was up to 59.8 fantasy points against the Wizards on Jan. 13. He’s been reliable all season and is at a lower salary, which definitely helps. If the Celtics continue to play like a team that can’t stand to be around each other, Siakam should be able to punish them with his scoring and rebounding ability. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Al-Farouq Aminu (vs CLE – $5,900): Needs 25.8 fantasy points. Aminu was up to 35.7 fantasy points against the Kings on Jan. 14. His game has been fairly reliable this season but I have one slight concern about this game. It’s possible that the Blazers backcourt duo runs roughshod on the Cavaliers and Aminu isn’t able to get his usual numbers. But the matchup is good and the minutes are there. Diagnosis: Only concern is a blowout but I’m going to trust Aminu to still be reliable.

PJ Tucker (vs BKN – $4,900): Needs 21.4 fantasy points. Tucker had 26.3 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Jan. 14. With Capela out of the lineup, the theory is that Tucker will have more rebounds. It didn’t exactly work out that way against the Grizzlies but it’s still a good theory. Even if the rebounds aren’t there, Tucker has been a good hand for Harden and probably the most reliable guy on the team as Green and Rivers are prone to shooting struggles. Meanwhile, Tucker just contributes. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
