High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Nikola Jokic (vs CHI – $10,600): Needs 50.4 fantasy points. Jokic was down to 32.5 fantasy points against the Warriors. Chalk it up to the Warriors deciding they were going to make a statement and move on. And it’s easy to move on given the matchup on Thursday. This should be a big bounce-back game for Jokic given that he’s playing the Bulls. He’ll do big damage even if the minutes are limited. Diagnosis: A blowout could limit his ceiling but still very reliable.

Joel Embiid (at IND – $10,100): Needs 48 fantasy points. And if you want an even better option than Jokic just because his minutes are a bit more guaranteed (assuming this game is as close as it projects to be) then you can go with Embiid. He’s been a force for the Sixers and should post big numbers once again in this one. He had 73.75 fantasy points against the Pacers on Dec. 14. I love Embiid on Thursday. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a very high ceiling.

Deandre Ayton (at TOR – $6,600): Needs 31.4 fantasy points. Ayton was down to 27.5 fantasy points against the Pacers on Jan. 15. I’m not too concerns as he has bounced back throughout the season. And he had 47.5 fantasy points against the Raptors on Nov. 2. And with the Raptors on a back-to-back they might lack a little energy, though they’ve been very good in back-to-back games this season. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
