High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Paul George (vs LAL – $9,800): Needs 44.8 fantasy points. You typically know what you’re getting from George although his numbers have slipped a bit as of late and his salary has gone back up. Still, he had 53.5 fantasy points against the Lakers on Jan. 2 and doesn’t have to deal with LeBron James on either end of the court (but mainly on offense because LeBron doesn’t play defense in the regular season). George will get you value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Ben Simmons (at IND – $9,200): Needs 42.4 fantasy points. Butler has taken a backseat to Simmons and it’s led to some big games for the point forward. He’s been over 55 fantasy points in his last three games. The minutes will be there in this one, he always does a bit of everything and he’s a triple-double threat. I have very little concern about his game right now as long as Butler is going to fall back. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Kyle Kuzma (at OKC – $6,900): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. Kuzma had 33.5 fantasy points against the Bulls on Jan. 15. He’s been a bit up-and-down since returning from injury but the ceiling is good and the matchup is good on Thursday. The rebounds should be there given the Lakers lack of frontcourt presence and the scoring should be up given the Thunder’s lack of defense as of late. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
