Players costing $6,667 or under

JaVale McGee (at OKC – $5,400): Needs 24 fantasy points. McGee was moved to the bench and played just 14 minutes against the Bulls but still had 24.3 fantasy points. He had 36.1 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 2. I don’t love his game without LeBron but this isn’t a bad matchup for him. Diagnosis: Good ceiling but hasn’t been the same without LeBron.

Mason Plumlee (vs CHI – $5,000): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. Plumlee had 26 fantasy points against the Warriors on Jan. 15. He’s been fairly reliable at this lower salary and gets enough minutes to produce. And it’s the Bulls. He should have no issue getting points and rebounds in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

Bismack Biyombo (vs SAC – $4,400): Needs 19.5 fantasy points. Biyombo continues to produce solid outings in the starting lineup. He had 25.5 fantasy points against the Kings on Jan. 12. He’s not going to hurt you at this salary and has shown a high ceiling. The matchup is a good one due to the Kings style as well. Diagnosis: Very reliable due to the salary and a decent ceiling.
