High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Russell Westbrook (vs LAL – $12,500): Needs 53.4 fantasy points. Westbrook had 67.7 fantasy points against the Hawks on Jan. 15. The Thunder defense has gone to hell but their offense has picked up and Westbrook has been a big reason why. His shooting woes appear to be behind him and he’s always good for rebounds and assists. Expect the Thunder come out strong at home against a weak Lakers squad given how their game against the Hawks went. Diagnosis: You can always build around Westbrook with confidence.

Ben Simmons (at IND – $10,700): Needs 45.7 fantasy points. Simmons has been fantastic for the Sixers recently going over 55 fantasy points in his last three games. Butler has gotten out of the way a bit more and it’s led to big performance by Simmons. I’m going to trust that the trend will continue in this game because if Butler did against the Timberwolves, he should control himself against the Pacers. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling.

Lonzo Ball (at OKC – $7,700): Needs 32.9 fantasy points. Ball has been solid recently and now his salary has jumped way up. I don’t mind Kemba in this spot because the Hornets are back at home and the Kings are a good matchup. But I haven’t loved the Thunder defense and Lonzo is a good enough playmaker to really pick them apart. I trust that he’ll be able to do just that in this matchup. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a high ceiling.
