True crime fans will be excited after watching this exclusive clip from Oxygen’s newest crime docu-series Smiley Face Killers: The Hunt For Justice which airs on Saturday.
If you aren’t already familiar with the Smiley Face Killers: The Hunt For Justice series you will be after you are instantly addicted to the new Oxygen docu-series which follows two detectives as they investigate the shocking crimes. The new show, which will air on Jan. 19 follows retired New York City detective Kevin Gannon and his team who have their own theories about a number of young men found dead in bodies of water across several Midwestern states. The detectives believe a link between the bodies and graffiti smiley faces are not just a coincidence.

In this clip we see Gannon meet with a private investigator, Larry Forletta, who is looking to trace the footsteps of one of the victims, Dakota James. Local police believe that James killed himself by jumping off a bridge — Gannon believes otherwise.
James is not the only young man to be found dead in a body of water, according to the series, hundreds of college-aged, athletic, academic achieving men have been found dead since 1997. That, coupled with the mysterious smiling graffiti is how the theory of the Smiley Face Killer (or killers) was born. This investigation, which is currently active, has been a 12-year-journey with a hopeful end in sight.
Prepare yourself for shocking revelations, potentially disturbing details and all the edge-of-your-seat-goosebump-inducing drama you can handle. This docu-series comes from the same network who brought us Dannemora Prison Break, The Disappearance of Crystal Rogers and Dirty John, The Dirty Truth so you know it’s gonna be good.
