Players costing $6,250 or under

Derrick White (at MIN – $5,600): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. White was down to 16.75 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Jan. 16. Don’t be too concerned. He had a rough night but it happens. The matchup is good on Friday as the Timberwolves aren’t all that good. And White has been reliable throughout the season so I’m going to trust him to bounce back in this one. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back with a strong outing.

Alec Burks (at UTA – $4,800): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. Burks was down to 12.75 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 16. He’d been very good prior to that so much like White, chalk it up to an off night. If you look down the board at value PG you’re going to find guys coming off rough outings or just unreliable players. Burks will bounce back in this one and his lesser salary helps you fit him into your lineup. Diagnosis: Much like White, he’ll bounce back in this one.

D.J. Augustin (vs BKN – $4,800): Needs 22.5 fantasy points. Augustin had 27.75 fantasy points against the Pistons on Jan. 16. It was a matchup he’s roasted in the past and he roasted them again. The Nets are playing great but their defense is still suspect. Augustin always gets the minutes and plenty of opportunities with his scoring and playmaking. I trust him in this one. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a good matchup and ceiling.
