DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 18, 2019
High Value PF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Nikola Mirotic (at POR – $5,900): Needs 27.7 fantasy points. Mirotic was up to 46.75 fantasy points against the Warriors on Jan. 16. He’s a streaky shooter but he was hot against the Warriors which should be a good sign for his value coming into this game. And it’s the Blazers, a team he couldn’t miss against in the playoffs last season. He also had 46.25 fantasy points against the Blazers on Nov. 1. Diagnosis: Very proven matchup and a high ceiling.
JaMychal Green (at BOS – $5,300): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. Green was up to 39.5 fantasy points against the Bucks on Jan. 16. He’s been over 34 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He’s had to pick up some slack with the injury to Kyle Anderson and he does a lot even if his minutes are limited. The matchup is tough but I’m going with my gut here. Diagnosis: A slight risk but a good ceiling. Admittedly a gut feeling pick.
DeMarre Carroll (at ORL – $5,100): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. Carroll has been over 30 fantasy points in his last two games. He’s been good more often than not for the Nets this season and I love his game overall. This should be a high scoring affair and Carroll does a bit of everything, even when he’s not always getting buckets. He averaged 34.8 fantasy points in four games against the Magic last season if you’re looking for some confidence. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling.
