High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Rudy Gobert (vs CLE – $10,500): Needs 46.9 fantasy points. Gobert has been a monster for the Jazz as of late, going over 50 fantasy points in his last three games. He was up to 65.9 fantasy points against the Clippers on Jan. 16. The only concern with this game is that the Jazz end up blowing out the Cavaliers and Gobert doesn’t hit his ceiling. But the Jazz can screw around in the first half so maybe that works to their benefit. Diagnosis: Only concern is a blowout.

Andre Drummond (vs MIA – $9,600): Needs 42.8 fantasy points. I typically don’t like Drummond’s game because, while he has a high ceiling, he’s also prone to going invisible. That said, this is a proven matchup for him. He had 60.3 fantasy points against the Heat on Nov. 5 and has been over 59 fantasy points in his last three games against them. He just gets points and boards against Miami. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling.

Jarrett Allen (at ORL – $7,200): Needs 32.1 fantasy points. Allen was up to 60.8 fantasy points against the Rockets on Jan. 16. I don’t know if he’ll hit those numbers again but he has been very good for the Nets in recent games. His salary has jumped way up but he’s still at the low end when it comes to high salary centers. He should at least get you value in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
