High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Spencer Dinwiddie (at ORL – $6,000): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. Dinwiddie played himself into rhythm with 46.4 fantasy points against the Rockets on Jan. 16. And now his salary has jumped back up. This feels like a trap because he had one big game and was poor prior to the big game. But you know the ceiling is high and he rarely lacks for shots. Diagnosis: A risk but a high reward if you trust him to stay hot. The matchup is good.

Derrick White (at MIN – $5,900): Needs 25.2 fantasy points. White was down to 18.6 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Jan. 16. I’m not too concerned. He’s been good for the Spurs this season and the matchup is a good one on Friday. Chalk up the Mavericks game to an off night and expect him to be better in this one. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back and be back to his normal production.

Elfrid Payton (at POR – $5,800): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. Payton has been solid since returning to the lineup and he’s shown a good ceiling. He was up to 33 fantasy points against the Warriors on Jan. 16. He’s not much of a scorer but he’s good for assists and will chip in with rebounds. The matchup is a good one and he should get you at least value in this game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
