High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Josh Richardson (at DET – $6,400): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Richardson was down to 16.1 fantasy points against the Bucks on Jan. 15. He’s been hot and cold in the last month or so but there’s reason to think he’ll be hot in this game. This is a proven matchup for him. He had 47.6 fantasy points against the Pistons on Nov. 5 and is averaging 37.6 fantasy points in his last five games against them. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling.

Nikola Mirotic (at POR – $6,200): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. Mirotic had 45.5 fantasy points against the Warriors on Jan. 16. He found his shot in that game and given how streaky he can be, the hope is that he’s hit a hot streak. Plus, this is a matchup he’s been great against dating back to the playoffs. He never seems to miss against the Blazers so until I see it, I won’t believe it. Diagnosis: A proven matchup with a very high ceiling.

DeMarre Carroll (at ORL – $5,000): Needs 21.1 fantasy points. Carroll was at 29.5 fantasy points against the Rockets on Jan. 16. He’s been good more often than not for the Nets since the end of December. Even when he’s not scoring, he’s finding a way to contribute. And he averaged 34.1 fantasy points in four games against the Magic last season. Expect big performances in this game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
