Players costing over $6,250

James Harden (vs LAL – $13,400): Needs 62.3 fantasy points. Is this salary too high for Harden? No. No salary is too high for Harden. He could cost you your entire cap space and I’d still say take him. Alright, I’m not that crazy. But this salary still isn’t high enough. He’s a guaranteed 70 fantasy points and the ceiling is obviously much higher. Until I see him slow down, I do not think he will slow down. Unless it’s the 4th quarter. Diagnosis: Take him with all the confidence in the world. He will deliver.

Khris Middleton (at ORL – $6,700): Needs 30.6 fantasy points. Middleton has been down in his last couple of games but that’s only because the Bucks are rolling over opponents. The Magic are on a back-to-back, but they are playing well and I think they’ll make this game competitive seeing as they are at home. And if Middleton gets the minutes, he will produce in this game. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Eric Bledsoe (at ORL – $6,400): Needs 29.7 fantasy points. And if you don’t quite like Middleton, you can save money on Bledsoe. He’s more reliable in a blowout and has shown a higher ceiling as well. Again, I think this game will be fairly competitive and if that’s the case, Bledsoe’s minutes and numbers will be up. And if it’s not the case, he’ll still provide plenty of value. You can pair these two and feel very confidence though they still might not equal what Harden could give you. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
