DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 19, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Giannis Antetokounmpo (at ORL – $10,700): Needs 48.8 fantasy points. Even in a blowout, Giannis’ salary has dropped to where he should do enough to get you value in this one. He had 52.25 fantasy points in just 22 minutes against the Grizzlies on Jan. 16. That’s pretty insane. But he’s been insane all season. If the Magic make it competitive, great. But if it’s a blowout, it won’t matter to Giannis. Diagnosis: You can always take Giannis with all the confidence in the world.
Kyle Kuzma (at HOU – $7,500): Needs 34.2 fantasy points. Kuzma had 55.5 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 17. He’s one guy I don’t worry too much about with LeBron out of the lineup because he can shoot and chip in in other areas. And he’ll get shots in this game. Expect another “most 3s in a game” record to be set in this one. Kuzma is going to be firing. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Justise Winslow (at CHI – $7,100): Needs 32.7 fantasy points. I would have liked to seen more from Winslow on Friday given how high I was on him heading into that game but he still did enough to at least get value. And he’ll do plenty in this game because it’s the Bulls. Don’t be concerned about the back-to-back. The Bulls are dreadful and this should be an easy game for Winslow to pick up his numbers, especially with Richardson out of the lineup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
