High Value PF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Thaddeus Young (vs DAL – $6,200): Needs 28.3 fantasy points. Young had 38 fantasy points against the Sixers on Jan. 17. I have no doubt abut Young right now. His salary has jumped which is the only bad part of his game on Saturday. But as far as numbers go, he always delivers. He gets plenty of minutes and can do a bit of everything. And if Sabonis is going to continue to struggle, Young will see more opportunities. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Al Horford (at ATL – $6,000): Needs 28.1 fantasy points. Horford has continued to be up-and-down but his minutes are at least there right now and he gets the Hawks. This is a team he just plays well against, partly due to the Hawks being bad and also some extra motivation. He averaged 35.9 fantasy points in four games against the Hawks last season. He’s good enough for at least value in this one. Diagnosis: Great matchup and a good ceiling. Can be inconsistent but trust this matchup.

Marvin Bagley III (at DET – $5,300): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. Bagley continues to be a reliable option coming off the bench. And now the Pistons are on a back-to-back and could be without Drummond. I continue to love Bagley’s energy off the bench and he’s always a double-double threat with his scoring and rebounding. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling and a great matchup if Drummond doesn’t end up playing.
