High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Kyrie Irving (at ATL – $9,500): Needs 40.5 fantasy points. There’s no mystery with Kyrie right now. He is playing outstanding basketball. And now he gets the Hawks. This could be a blowout, but the Celtics are on a back-to-back and the Hawks play at a such a high pace that even in a blowout, Kyrie is going to post big numbers and at least get you value. I have no doubt about Kyrie’s game right now. He has delivered after calling out his teammates. Diagnosis: A blowout could limit his ceiling. But very reliable.

Kyle Lowry (vs MEM – $8,000): Needs 34.1 fantasy points. Lowry had 40.8 fantasy points against the Suns on Jan. 17. He’s been playing fairly well recently and we know he can do a bit of everything. The Grizzlies are on a back-to-back and honestly haven’t looked all that impressive lately. So I trust that Lowry is going to get his usual numbers and then some in this one. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Eric Bledsoe (at ORL – $7,700): Needs 32.9 fantasy points. I like Bledsoe and Lonzo Ball here at the same price. But I lean towards Bledsoe because even in a blowout, he’s proven to be a reliable option. And if the Magic can keep things competitive, that’s even better for Bledsoe’s value. Meanwhile, Ball is a bit inconsistent, though I like the matchup for him. Bledsoe also has a high ceiling. Flip a coin on these two. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling if the game is close.
