High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Thaddeus Young (vs DAL – $6,300): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. There’s a lot of good value at power forward on Saturday. But Young is a cost effective option given his usual minutes and production. You can always spend a little extra on Ibaka or Siakam as they have a higher ceiling. But Young is just as reliable and given the matchup, maybe has one of his better outings. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Marvin Bagley III (at DET – $6,100): Needs 26.6 fantasy points. MB3 was down to 23.1 fantasy points against the Hornets on Jan. 17. I’m not too concerned. He plays a fairly reliable game off the bench and I love this matchup for him. The Pistons still aren’t great, are on a back-to-back, and could be without Drummond. That will make their front-court rotation thin, leaving the door open for MB3 to produce a big game. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

PJ Tucker (vs LAL – $5,500): Needs 24 fantasy points. Tucker had 41.5 fantasy points against the Nets on Jan. 16. I absolutely love him with Capela out of the lineup. He’s getting his rebounding numbers and he gets plenty of shots in the Rockets offense. He’ll also chip in with defense. He’s at a good salary as well given his usual production. Diagnosis: Love him on Saturday. There’s some good value in his game due to the circumstances with the Rockets.
