High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jeremy Lamb (at IND – $6,000): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. Lamb had 33 fantasy points against the Suns on Saturday. It’s the Suns, so it shouldn’t really count. Lamb has been playing well for the Hornets in the last three games and remains at a decent enough salary. It’s not like you have many options at shooting guard on Sunday. He did have 34.4 fantasy points against the Pacers on Nov. 21 if you’re looking for some confidence in him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Marco Belinelli (vs LAC – $4,500): Needs 19.3 fantasy points. Belinelli was up to 32.5 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Jan. 18. He’s been shooting hot for the Spurs and you rarely have to worry about him not getting shots in the Spurs offense. If he’s chipping in with rebounds or assists then that’s even better news for him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Malik Monk (at IND – $3,800): Needs 16.3 fantasy points. Yikes. You can go with Okogie in this spot because he is a starter and he gets to play the Suns. But Monk oddly has a proven track record against the Pacers. He’s averaging 25.5 fantasy points in his only three games against them. So maybe he just likes this matchup? There’s not a lot to love at the value shooting guard position and you may just want to save the money and take a cheaper option know their score will be dropped. But again, Monk has done well against this matchup. Diagnosis: Proven matchup if nothing else.
